When read in Sanskrit, yatna is defined as effort, exertion, energy, zeal, trouble, pains, care, endeavour. This word with multiple meaning describes yet another mask-like interpretation Paola Minekov added to the “Dreams and Nightmares” series.
The depiction is rather symbolic, an attempt to represent the sublime confluence of all the titular meaning. The monochromatic composition can serve as an emblem, especially supported by the radially positioned rays, emitting the energy of "Yatna" beyond the image borders.
